We have huge pigs and the damage they cause is unbelievable.  Here is a picture of a 200lb+ pounder caught with Select-A-Catch

Just love this product

PIG CAPTURE - FLORIDA BROCK LEE_edited.j

Brock - Florida

This is Brock.  Here’s my testimonial for the website: I’ve developed a hog problem here in Florida and they have been destroying my pasture. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a large, conventional trap. So after some research, I found the SAC1000 and decided to give it a try. It worked perfectly and I caught my first pig within a couple of days of setting the snare. The cable tightened just above the hoof and held firm. I would highly recommend this product!

Here is a picture of my 16 year old daughter Cassidy with her 2020 bear that she trapped using the Select-A-Catch 1000. We have had great luck using the Select-A-Catch 1000 for the 2020 Maine bear season. We have used many snares in the past and have had many misses. We bought the Select-A-Catch and trapped 2 bears with it the first year using it. We didn't have any misses last year. Both bears were trapped the first night that the Select-A-Catch was set out. We use trail cameras to our advantage and both bears in 2020 were trapped on the first night. We highly recommend the Select-A-Catch 1000 and look forward to trapping many more bears with it.

It is not often I take the time to endorse a product but in this case it's warranted.

I run an all-volunteer rescue group that focuses on helping capture lost dogs whether owners are known or not.

As is often the case, the level of fear and distrust in these poor pups is incredible. I personally own a large number of traditional cage traps as well as a few specialized ones.

A fellow trapper passed along a link to this product. I was immediately intrigued. After contacting the manufacturer and having all questions satisfactorily answered, I purchased one.

I was currently dealing with a loose large German Shepherd who had no interest in the traditional trap I had set. As is the norm, her level of awareness was similar to that of wildlife. There was no approaching her and she seemed to own the hills.

Upon receipt and inspection, I was excited to deploy this trap.

The very first time it functioned exactly as described. The first paw landed alongside the trap while she took a piece of the bait and as she moved to lean in for more, her second paw landed exactly where it needed to be. She was caught. scared, but safe!

This trap has been designed with humane capture as the priority. I can attest that it's function, execution, design, and description are exactly what has been needed for difficult dogs in rural environments.

If you know your stuff, this is an absolute must-have.

In addition to the quality of the product, the company who designed it, and the people who run it are all top-notch.

They genuinely care about your success!

THEN AT 8:20 I GOT A PICTURE OF THE BEAR STEPPING RIGHT WHERE THE SNARE WAS

After the pipe set was unsuccessful, I purchased a Select-A-Catch 1000. I began by removing the slate from the ground so the Select-A-Catch would fit by the stump. Then boom at 8:20 pm, I got pictures on my cell phone, got a pic showing the bear stepping right where the snare was. It was really foggy so waited for light and got more pictures showing the bear was still there and caught perfect!

Thank you very much for the product, assistance, and unexpected parts! Select-A-Catch™ snare was great to use...and caught the bear on the 1st try! Thanks Again!!

Attached is a picture of the snare I purchased from you a few weeks ago. With the new Maine ban on certain traps put into effect just days before the opener, I called and ordered this setup. With some good fortune, I was able to snare this bear on the 1st night we had a bear come into the bait...

And it worked great!

I WAS GUIDING A NEW TRAPPER
Sgt. Dane Sampson (A US Army flight medic veteran. He wanted to trap his first bear. The second night; Select-A-Catch™ had the bear. The snare held up with the 150 lb black bear! I still think Select-A-Catch™ is the best snare system available

SUCCESS THE FIRST NIGHT!
The remaining hogs we had that were damaging the avocado and macadamia orchards were smart to cage traps and shooting. We decided to try the SELECT-A-CATCH™ foot snare. The first night we caught two. When I arrived, they were calm and laying on their sides. When I approached closer they got up and grunted. Boar was alive, I thought he was dead as he was just lying there. Both were caught with the SELECT-A-CATCH™. Advantage of system: Speed of loop closing, chain good idea, multiple pressure points due to links. Both hogs were not heated, so when I skinned them, they did not have a smell of vinegar - adrenaline in flesh. The snare cable did not get kinked. I was able to salvage the meat with no problem and was also able to get rid of two very smart hogs!

GOT IT AND SET IT UP

THAT AFTERNOON

Instant success! In the morning I snared one of the bears that were in the orchard!

I had a conventional thrower snare set, a bucket snare set, and the Select-A-Catch all in the same site. It took the select-a-catch to finally be successful!

 Much appreciated,

James

I WOULD LIKE TO ORDER 3 MORE UNITS!
For the Hawaiian Islands, feral pigs are an invasive species because they eat massive vegetation causing native plant extinction, as well as soil erosion and soil compaction in their tracks.

Maine Bear (Brassard #5)500x600.jpg

Chris Brassard - Registered Maine Guide

I set it at the sight 40 minutes after UPS delivered it. The second night, the bear came in and the spring loaded snare launcher set the snare so good and I harvested my first trapped Maine Black Bear.

NEED FIVE MORE SNARES!

I would like to order five more snares. I captured 21 hogs with the snare that came with the unit. All I had to do was replace the cable, but could still use the components. Great product!!

Even a girl can have good luck!

Hey Mike,

This wasn't by skill or talent but by shear luck I finally caught a coyote. When I was traveling and checking the trap, he was there. Twisted the heck out of my cable so I need a new one. Anyway wanted you to know that even a girl can have good enough luck to catch in Select-A-Catch™.

This coyote was hanging around the sheep pasture. Set on a trail on the outside of the

fence and caught him.

Thanks

What's Happening!

Very excited to share news from a state agency that on a recent Mt. Lion capturing researc

An update of recent happenings…..Exciting news
**Black Bear season will be here before you know it.
Select-A-Catch is one of the few foot snares that are legal in the state of Maine
**The Wolf snare has returned. We were fortunate to find a supply of the locks we were seeking. They are now available to purchase on our website

We have kept our price the same for the last few years and will continue to do so as long as possible.  With the cost of materials skyrocketing, we may in the future have to implement a price increase.  If you are thinking of getting one of these, now is the time.
